Terms and Conditions
Last updated 28 September 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
MyFinanceBook is operated by Denys Pashchenko, Individual Entrepreneur, a sole trader established in Ukraine — "we" and "us" below. You can reach us at support@myfinancebook.app.
2. Accepting these terms
Creating an account, or continuing to use the service, means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use MyFinanceBook.
3. What MyFinanceBook is, and what it is not
MyFinanceBook is a personal bookkeeping tool. You record income and expenses, file them under categories, and read back summaries of what you recorded. It is not a bank, an e-money institution, a payment service or a broker. It holds no money, moves no money, and connects to no bank account.
The built-in assistant helps with budgeting, saving and understanding your own spending. It does not advise on investments, securities, funds, crypto, pensions, insurance or tax, and nothing in MyFinanceBook is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Nothing in the service is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Decisions about your money are yours, and you should take independent professional advice where you need it.
4. Your account
An account needs an email address and a password, and nothing else. Keep the password to yourself: what happens under your account is your responsibility, and you should tell us promptly if you think someone else has reached it. An account belongs to one person, though you are free to record another household member's transactions in your own ledger.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use MyFinanceBook:
- to break the law, or to commit or help anyone commit fraud;
- to send spam or any other unsolicited message;
- to upload material that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy;
- to upload malware, or anything designed to damage or disrupt software;
- to probe, scan or otherwise interfere with the security or integrity of the service;
- to scrape it, or to reach it by automated means other than the connected-app interface we provide;
- to resell, sublicense or redistribute it.
6. The AI features
Two parts of the service send data to our AI provider: the built-in assistant, and the extraction that reads an uploaded bank statement and proposes transactions from it. Both can produce output that is wrong, incomplete or misleading.
Proposed transactions are always shown to you before anything is saved, and what you accept is your decision. You are responsible for checking the output and for whatever you do with it, and you must not upload material you are not entitled to upload. See our privacy notice for what is sent, and to whom.
7. Plans, payment and cancellation
A free account carries a one-time welcome credit for statement imports and assistant messages made inside the app; it is a credit rather than a monthly allowance, and it does not reset. It is one per person rather than one per account, so deleting an account and signing up again with the same address does not start a new credit — the new account continues from whatever the old one had left. Paid plans buy an allowance that does reset, each month on your billing anniversary. Current plans and prices are on the plans page. The price shown there includes any VAT or sales tax that applies, so what you see is what is charged and nothing is added at checkout.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles all billing, payments, tax and refund enquiries. Purchases are also subject to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, which opens from Settings. Cancelling runs your plan to the end of the period you have already paid for, and the account then moves to Free. Nothing in your ledger is deleted when a plan ends, though a free account is then subject to the inactivity rule in section 10. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
8. Intellectual property
The software, the name MyFinanceBook, the logo and the documentation are ours and remain ours. Your data is yours: we claim no ownership of the transactions, categories and descriptions you record, and we use them only to run the service for you.
9. Availability
We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because of a failure at one of the providers it depends on, or for reasons outside our control, and features may change over time.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where we reasonably believe there is a security or fraud risk. You may delete your account at any time from Settings — that removes your ledger permanently and cannot be undone.
A free account that shows no activity for 12 months — no sign-in and no use through a connected assistant — is deleted after we have emailed you twice, 30 and 7 days beforehand, with a link to download your data. Deletion for inactivity is the same as deleting the account yourself and cannot be undone, and any unused booster imports go with it. An account on a paid plan is never deleted for inactivity; when a subscription ends, the 12 months run from the end date or your last activity, whichever is later.
11. Liability
MyFinanceBook is provided as it is and, so far as the law allows, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for any decision you take on the strength of what the app or its assistant shows you. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for MyFinanceBook in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use MyFinanceBook as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top says when it last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, whose courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
